The College welcomes International applications into the Full-Time Holistic or Sports Kinesiology Diplomas. These Full-Time courses involve two full days of class time per week, plus another half day and requirements of home study and 4 hours of supervised practice per week. The course is structured over 2 years, with 32 weeks in the first year and 40 weeks in the second year. In the second year of the Diploma, an increasing component of supervised student clinic practice is introduced to provide sound preparation for post graduate practice. Students are required to attend a minimum of three practice sessions and eight student clinic sessions, as practitioner, throughout their course. With the Kinesiology classes, around half your contact hours involve supervised practise time here in the classroom – this means you are fully supported with your learning and have ample opportunity to make contact with the lecturers/supervisors should you need to. ACCM believes that this supervised practise time is imperative for our students to build up the level of confidence and competency needed to perform as qualified kinesiologists in the public arena. The face to face teaching hours combine theory and practice, presented in a range of teaching styles to suit the course content. The College emphasises that practice and experiential learning being an important foundation of becoming a Kinesiologist.
